Summer Internships

Recently, a member of The Heinlein Society board of directors received the following email. Since THS has a scholarship program, it only seems logical to share information about internship programs.  I can’t imagine a more fitting internship for a Heinlein fan!

We have launched our application for the National Air and Space Museum’s 2025 Summer Internship Program. Each year, our summer interns learn from knowledgeable mentors in a variety of disciplines across the museum field, all in the dynamic atmosphere of Washington, DC. Interns work with distinguished scholars, accomplished professionals, and iconic artifacts in an immersive experience as multifaceted as the Museum itself.

The traditional summer internship period lasts for 10 weeks, from early-June through early-August. These full-time internships take place at one of our locations in the DC area and interns receive a stipend of $7,500. Apply by January 31 to be considered for the 2025 Summer Internship Program.
