Post "Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire" 2009 award for SNS
I'm happy to announce that our book on Robert Heinlein,
Solutions non satisfaisantes : Une anatomie de Robert A. Heinlein,
by Ugo BELLAGAMBA and Eric PICHOLLE (Les Moutons Electriques Pub.,
Lyon, France, Feb. 2008), has just been awarded the "Grand Prix de
l'Imaginaire 2009", in the category "meilleur essai" ("best SF related book"),
at the Festival International de Science-Fiction de Nantes, Utopiales 2008.

Among the other categories of the 2009 GPI award, Theodore ROSZAK
for The Crystal Child (best translated novel) and Kelly LINK' for "Stranger
Things Happen" (best translated short story).

We hope that this award will contribute to renew the interest for Heinlein's
work in the French-speaking world (where such major works as Time Enough
for Love, The Number of the Beast
or The Rolling Stones remain untranslated),
as well as for Heinleinian studies as a legitimate academic topic...

Sprasnikom! er... Felicidades! er... Ausgezeichnet! er....

;-) Seriously, even if I don't read French, that sounds like serious recognition for a worthwhile book. Congratulations!

This is a major landmark as well as a feather in the two caps (I suppose you'll have to split it down the quill so Ugo can wear half of it). Congratulations most sincerely!
