 1:9 scale Saturn V
Here's a guy building a working 1:9 scale model of a Saturn V. Construction progress snapshots at the link.

 Re: 1:9 scale Saturn V
Looks like a Saturn IB, not a Saturn V.

Whoops; you're absolutely right! Sorry for the misidentification.

Um, "working" in what sense?

Flyable using either the upper end one-use engines or the larger reusable ones. Solid-core engines.

 Re: 1:9 scale Saturn V
Exceedingly cool!! The Saturn IB was the Earth-orbit version of the Saturn, and only flew once with a human crew, IIRC. I'm glad someone has the time (and the not inconsiderable disposable income) to do this.

Five with crews, I think: Apollo 7, the three Skylab crews, and the U.S. half of the Apollo-Soyuz linkup.

 Re: 1:9 scale Saturn V
I guess their basement wasn't big enough for a V.

 Re: 1:9 scale Saturn V
That's an impressive project. After putting that much effort and resources into it, I'd never be able to fly it. That takes nerve.
