Post Cloverfield
(Okay, so I'm not exactly current here; this was one of those "Wait for DVD" movies for me.)

I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's basically The Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla, but what's wrong with that? It's fresh and original, and it took guts to leave so much unanswered.

Mainly, though, I want to comment on the demographic appeal. This movie was targeted at Gen X like a cruise missile on a bunker. I'm outside the target and still managed to like it, but I definitely get that that was an accident as far as the producers were concerned. Never mind.

Nice way to spice up the tired old monster genre.

Well I liked it and I'm also way outside the target demographic.
