Never said it didn't. There have been dozens over the years. My particular beef is with Paul Moller and the Moller AirCar, which has yet to fly in almost 50 years. (But just a little more investment, and...)

That does look more practical than most of the designs I've seen. I'm guessing you still have to be a licensed pilot, at least. Since it's a gyrocopter I wouldn't think a helicopter license would be required. Still not the flying car described in The Puppet Masters (the one I want) but a step in the right direction.
