Post Home log-in
Administrator:

I got a new laptop for home use, and now I'm not able to log in to the forum from it (no prob with the old laptop, which doesn't work any more). Can't get the forum to recognize any email addy or user name I type in, which means I can only contact the forum from work.
What's goin' on?

That doesn't make any sense at all. Your username and password work from your workplace, but the new laptop doesn't. What OS are you using on both?

I work off a Dell platform at work; the laptop is HP. Can't really tell you what the OS is at the workplace. I use a Windows something or other on the laptop.

FWIW, I bought an HP Pavilion desktop new at the end of August. Windows 7 was supplied [had been still using Win XP on it's predecessor] and M$ running under Win 7 made it nearly impossible to refuse to upgrade to IE9 so I did that too, even though IE8 was bundled on the HP.

I've never had any problems logging into the Nexus under Win 7 and IE9, nor into any of the other sites I maintain log-in accounts on.

The only suggestion I have is: does the computer present you with a password when you type in the username and if so, try retyping it. This is a long shot, but the only thing I can think of.

Try a different browser on the laptop. Firefox or Chrome, for instance.

I'll give it a shot.
