This moving description of the actions of bystanders at the shooting on Canada's Parliament Hill would have made Heinlein proud, and inspired a mention in This I Believe.

I agree; the behavior of many Canadians who were present when the shooting started would have made Heinlein proud to be human. I'm an American, and I just hope that if something similar happened at the Vietnam Memorial or some other similar site, we Americans would react as courageously.
