 Mrs. Grundy
A cellphone picture of a cover of an old pulp magazine I saw in a display. Reminded me of the Mrs. Grundy that Heinlein was wont to go on about. Sorry about the glare; I don't have a date on this magazine but would guess early '60s.

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
It's not a pulp magazine, but a comic book.

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
It's neither. It's an early example of a graphic novella. And the character is named after the cultural meme, and intended to be similarly oppressive towards anything fun or licentious.

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
Veronica is still better than Betty, though Cheryl Blossom was the best Rob

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
Except for hair color, I never could tell the difference between Veronica and Betty, or even Midge, for that matter.

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
Peter, from the price it would date from the late 60s or early 70s.

 Re: Mrs. Grundy
Good point. That series has never been concerned about being culturally up-to-date.

And I notice that everyone on the cover is wearing shoes.
