Post A Heinlein Moment
I suppose nowadays everyone has suitcases with wheels. Because I usually travel by car I was late to the purchase of cloth luggage, but when I finally got my first piece, it was a small black suitcase I could put in the overhead of a plane. Since it followed me so well, I named it "Willis".

OK ... I got to the airport and joined the queue -- fairly late in the boarding process. I moved into the cabin and went to stow Willis up there when I noticed that the overheads had lines and lines of black suitcases. In a Heinlein moment I wondered when they were going to burst into a rendition of "Que Es La Senorita?".

Hah. And it just occurs to me that one could program/train one's carry-on bag to respond helpfully to Homeland Security scanners:

"Willis fine!"

No. Your suitcase should be programmed, when poked by TSA, to shout, "I am not a thirty-second bomb! I am not a thirty-second bomb!"

Or, to make it interesting, "I recall distinctly the detonation order. My memory is good on matters like these."

(Noting that there are at least two BRATS on this forum, and not under any circumstances to let Joe [my husband] discover the place or we might end up with a critical mass.)

;P

(still laughing)
