Post Frederick Pohl - Heinlein anecdote
I came across an interesting little blog post by Frederick Pohl dated 2/9/09 at http://www.thewaythefutureblogs.com/200 ... 7_degrees/

The post, titled "Greetings from S17° 32.18′ W149° 34.17′, Including a little story about Bob Heinlein," starts off:

All right, you’ve pulled out a map and you know from the long/lat that we’re now leaving Tahiti and heading for the island of Moorea, just across the channel. But did you know what Moorea meant to Ginny Heinlein?

Some of you might know this story already, but it is new to me. I'm trying to place it in time, since Pohl only states that it occurred "thirty-odd years ago," but I assume what occurred was very significant and helps explain why RAH's writing production was almost nil for 6 or 7 years.

That's where RAH had his TIA and VG had to get him home to advanced treatment from an end of the earth. Not fun.

In the end, I found Heinlein is finite. Thus, finite analysis is needed.

Yes. She had to practically carry him back to the ship.
