Sorry, must be a side effect of some recent permissions jockeying. Try it now.

No luck. I was here:

And I'm still not "authorised" for a signature.

Ohh noes, we've just proved that Bill Patterson and Bill Mullins *are really the same person*. How many more of us are they?

Don't you mean Bill Patterson and Bill Higgins?

I get those guys mixed up all the time.

Say, I thought I had my postings set up to append a sigfile with my actual name. But recent postings don't show this. I looked at the signature page in my profile and it says "You are not authorised to define a signature." Even though I am logged in.

"Beamjockey" is Bill Higgins, folks.

My mind knew it, but my fingers didn't cooperate. Too many Bills!

Personally, I found them tracking mention of geographical sites on a map fascinating.

Don't recall whether I mentioned it anywhere, but heard yesterday from Stacy that she is sending out one advance copy each to me and to the Prize Trust. Too late to get here in time for Comic-Con, but that means I will have one copy to show around at NASFiC.

Anybody else going to NASFiC? Since Tor isn't planning to do anything official with the book, I thought I would open up a hospitality room for one or more nights for people to drop by etc.

You know what?

I didn't write this. Somebody else's posting has gotten attributed to me. Must be trouble with the forum.

And where is the link I posted to the Google Books sample of the bio?

That was my posting. Have no idea how it happened.

Out of curiosity, I looked at a location relatively close to me (La Jolla), and found that the actual mention was a street in West Hollywood, not the city/town/village of La Jolla (what is it? I go there for dinner occasionally, but don't know what their official designation is).
La Jolla is a neighborhood within the city of San Diego -- although it has a San Diego County zipcode. By way of contrast, Coronado on its peninsula across the bay is an incorporated city, although it has a San Diego City zipcode.
