Got my copy July 12, did a quick scan of the index citations for "Panshin" -- I am going to write an essay of sorts for R. Pearson's blog on that controversy -- then started reading from Page One. Up to Page 320 so far. When done, I will take a little break for Tibetan Peach Pie.

Are you aware of the latest chapter?

Panshin applied to join a Heinlein-chatter forum on Facebook. The people who run it wouldn't let him join in any reindeer games.

(I am one of the Faceless, so I heard this secondhand, but here's Panshin's side of it. I presume the other side of it can be found by the diligent.)

The page you cited demonstrates that divisive and corrosive sniping follows Panshin postings as the tail follows the dog. I want a place where I can relax with fellow fans and have productive discussions of Heinlein's positive and negative aspects without having to tune out the baiting of someone looking to tweak us. Geo conducted himself with aplomb in that thread.
