This is not a review; I plan on seeing this movie (finally got one of those newfangled flat screen devices, makes watching movies at home more interesting than previously). If anyone who has seen it has comments I would like to hear them.

While I understand that this is not a biography of Hubbard or any real person, I have read much of LRH's work and most of the published biographic material by others. I am curious if the any of film seems to be based on actual incidents from his life: 1 percent, 10 percent, more?

Thanks.

I'm afraid I know nothing of Hubbard other than what I read in the Heinlein biography, but since you now have an HD TV, I highly recommend enhancing it with a home theater sound system. Even the relatively inexpensive ones add a lot to the experience, especially the ones that include both a subwoofer and surround sound speakers.

Step 1 is to agree on what those actual incidents might be. Step 2 will thus be postponed indefinitely. :D

Sufficiently clear Scientologists, of the rank of, say, a Cruise or a Travolta, can just ask Hubbard directly and eliminate any doubt.
