I think this is wonderful, especially in conjunction with my all-time favorite movie (Koyaanisqatsi) and all-time favorite podcast (the Space episode of Radio Lab). I think Heinlein would approve!!

I saw Koyaanisqatsi in the theater. It was big in its day but sank from sight and memory entirely more than it deserved. The modern equivalent is Avatar.

I first saw Koyaanisqatsi in *real* IMAX at the National Air and Space Museum when it came out, and I must say that seeing it in any other format (including the poor excuse that passes for IMAX in today's multiplexes) is pretty disappointing. I did find one other performance uniquely memorable, and that was when it was shown in San Francisco with the soundtrack being performed live by the Philip Glass Ensemble of 15 keyboard artists.

They each held one note for 30 seconds?
